Almost alone again…naturally…

Sorry, silly song came to mind then.

The sun is shining and it is raining. Beautiful. I love sun showers.

The house has gotten back to normal somewhat. Michael has returned to work, and the girls will start school on Thursday morning.

My den is not done yet. *sigh* But I am hopeful that the contractors will come and do the final taping and spackling and I’ll be able to paint and get myself settled here.
I have soooo much Ebaying to do!! I really want to get to it.

Michael took a few of the ac’s out of the windows yesterday. I guess that means the warm weather is really gone.

I really have to get myself out of this funk I am in. So much to do around here, and no energy to do it. I feel guilty. Michael works so hard each day, and he comes home and I haven’t done much of anything that shows.

I didn’t want the summer to end, so I decided to photograph some of my flowers so I could make myself a desktop of them….

this is my favorite every year, the old wash tub from the basement, which is as old as the house, so it’s got to be 106 years old. It weighs somewhere around 400 pounds or so, and every year I plant it with impatients and they just fill it out by the end of the season – they look so inviting next to the new gate too!

my out of control wisteria. this was given to me this year, and I planted it at the biggest pont in the edge garden. It was tiny when I got it and it is out of control now. I have to get a new trellis for it, and I have no idea how to winter it over.

this is a Weigelia shrub. In spring it flowers in pretty wine colored blooms.

the trees at the back of our property line – I love this shot. They are so tall and majestic. I took this shot last week when it was so over cast and dark all week.

and lastly…the view from the sliding glass doors in the den….our little, but every so special to me, yard view….
